Charlottes Brocante is here in 5 days on the 19th at 6p.m.

Wells loves, we are getting down to the wire with four days left to show you all of the delights that await you at Charlottes Brocante. But, I am willing to try..... I absolutley adore this little hand holding this letter. I have one that holds my my recipe book open. And I ask, "can you really ever go wrong with giant stamps"?Non is right.

I was delighted to find these grain sacks. It's been a couple of years since I last had them. I love to look at them hanging by the row and when you come it will be time for them to go.(not the rhyming thing:) how about some chairs covered in them? Or hang them as art in a frame. That what my boy Nolan is doing.

I got the most wonderful towels this trip they must be 3-4 feet long. I thought they were precious hanging from these old bronze handles I found.
Le Chic Parisienne Buttons. They just sit around and look good. They just make me so happy.
Did I mention there will be documents ?Of course I did and they are divine and old (kinda like me;)

And a few little bottles sitting on a socle. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for loving the little things of France along with me. I do so look forward to seeing you all, but  I am not gonna lie you scare me........But only in a good kind if way.Maybe that's how shirley girly feels when I come a visit. Until tomorrow.

One week from tonight mon Amis is Charlottes Brocante!!!!!!!

I feel this little pliante could come in handy for many reasons. 1) you could sit on it while you launder your nightshirts (see below) 2) you could rest your documents on it to enjoy them and sit on the ground whilst you do your laundry. ( I vote for this idea.) I love that it folds up and has a little handle on the side for carrying. They were originally used for fishing.
Will there be documents at Charlottes Brocante? Is that even a real question I question? If I confused you the answer is yes. I think laying a antique chateau curtain pull on the document  is the answer for beautiful decor. Voila(it is done)
And you know some panniers are in order. One of them is for escargot. So tiny and precious. Couldn't you just imagine going out to the garden and picking up all the snails you could find and then going into your house to make dinner? Me either but the basket is fabu.
How about rows and rows of heavy chanvre linen night gowns. Hang them on the back if your bathroom  door make a pillow , purse or runner. A family Christmas photo would be nice too.
After they are soiled from the day  you can get out your batterie(wooden planche) and beat up your laundry. I like them as is in a row. I have seen my
Shirley in action with one and they work really good.
ONE WEEK ONE WEEK ONE WEEK I WILL SEE YOU MONDAY FOR MORE SNEAK PEAKS!!!!

8 days till the brocante......

I am a sucker for anything that says Paris. These little drawers are just beat up enough to be charlottes brocante ready.
How about an aged brass sign announcing were to get glances(ice cream ) on a hot summer day.
These don't say Paris in letters but they do with  there looks. As in Paris bistro Paris cafe and Paris brasserie. All have these to put they bottles on after they are empty. Talk about beautiful recycling. See you tomorrow for the last sneak peek of the week. Gros bisous

You just have to go to sleep nine more times and then charlottes brocantes arrives on the 19th

You know how much  I love all the sweet little things france has to offer. Below are some that I brought back this time that will make you swoon.
Locks with no keys but they say Paris so it doesn't matter. Might make some beautiful jewelery. I think I might have a little Heidi angel that will know just what to do with those.
Don't even get me started on stamps. For all I know they might say things like Amy is crazy for the brocante but it does not matter as long as it says it in French and looks pretty.
And these hand blown votive holders from the Catholic Church. Wavey and delicious. Can I get an amen.(in church talk amen means you agree or so be it)
Now you have has your daily peak and a miniature bible study. Fin until tomorrow

11days until the 19th....then it's Brocante time

Things are starting to looking good at the shop . Rows of marble plaques with our favorite little French flag waving at us are standing at attention waiting for you.
And these little sweeties called pompiers are just hanging around on little tree branches ( you know that little tree in the  corner right?) with Paris stamped on them looking rough luxe as ever.
OOOh and sheets. I have about ten of them this time. This one belonged to the Potier family. Red and white butcher looking thread embroidery.
He also has friends t.c.......
and R.  Until tomorrow my Amis xxxx

September 19th is just 12 days away and your daily sneak peaks start today!

Love is on the air here or should I say in the letters!? These very rare unused beaded letters from old French  store stock that  await your special ideas for them.  Spell a phrase, tie them on a package or put them on a memo board but just do something!!!!'
Old velo (bike) tags.  Attatch them to baskets all in a row or make a sweet necklace. Just precious.
I was thinking you could use the above beaded letters to spell out brasserie......or you could buy a sign in zinc. Spelling out brasserie could take  some time and there is no time at Charlottes Brocante.
