Do you dream of the the Brocante in black and creme?

Well , I do! ! Just give me some amazing little french stamps to make little sweet somethings .....
and these darling needles to stitch up whatever my heart desires....
of course boxes with powder that say Paris = totally dreamy!!
and a plaque with a crown because it is your dream and you can be the Queen if you want...

Will there be French papers at Charlottes Brocante ??

OUI OUI OUI!!!(YES YES YES!!!)
At a small morning brocante in Nimes I stopped in my tracks to behold a huge box of documents.........................Combien(how much) I uttered in my best French . After a little bartering they were mine. I did not stop smiling all day. It is easy to find a handful of documents but a whole box not so much...this early 1700 s mariage document is tres tres bien(very very good.)

papers from the 1800 s with crowns......................... heavy sigh............
parchment papers with fluer de lis..................... joy pure joy..............
factures(receipts) from stores with stamps ,beautiful in jewelry making.........
and most unusual, photo copies of documents great for using as postcards or framing. So yes mon Amis , there will be French papers at Charlottes Brocante.

Its the little French Brocante things that make you ooh la la....

I love anything with French writing on it like these powder boxes.....
and these grain sacs complete with repairs(insert scream here)............
how about some little bags for candy or labels for perfume....J'adore!!
.........then you can wash it down with a sip from your own French thermos, complete with glass.....those frenchies think of everything.

Are you ready for another peak from the Brocante?

Numbers and towels stretching after the trip across the ocean......
and sweet petite bird cages looking for a new place to land......
plaques to make you smile just a little.......
and unused bolts of linen to create just because you can. Shall I dare show you more?

I am home from France with boxes of goodies and I bet you want a peak right? o.k here goes....

georgeous globe and glorious french books the size of 3 by 5 index cards in a shade of green you only see in France faded in the Provence sun...... precious hotel silver egg cups aged to perfection....over easy....
pots of creme with their lids ready to march into the kitchen for duty....
and grain sacks with CROWNS AND WINGS
yes, I said CROWNS AND WINGS!!!!!! I will post more tomorrow. I want to give you time to digest the first course. You know how bad heartburn is,it can wreck the whole meal. Bisous
